Privacy notice

Last updated: 5 July 2026

GreaseFile is operated by Jamie Philp ("I", "me"), based in the United Kingdom. This notice explains how I handle business contact information in connection with GreaseFile outreach and early-access enquiries, in line with UK GDPR and PECR.

What information I hold

Where it comes from

Why I hold it and my lawful basis

I contact ventilation hygiene businesses about GreaseFile, a TR19 post-clean verification reporting tool relevant to their work. My lawful basis is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR): business-to-business contact about a directly relevant product, using contact details your firm has published for business purposes. I balance this against your interests by contacting you at most a small number of times, providing a clear opt-out, and not sharing your details with anyone else.

What I don't do

How long I keep it

Outreach contact details are kept while GreaseFile early access is running and deleted within 12 months, or immediately on request. If you opt out, I keep the minimum needed (your email address on a suppression list) to make sure I don't contact you again.

Opting out

Reply "unsubscribe" to any email from me, or email jamiephilp1992@gmail.com, and I will stop contacting you.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or erase your information, to object to processing, and to restrict processing. To exercise any of these, email jamiephilp1992@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
